About Milagros
Milagros is a Mexican restaurant in Laureles with a devotional streak. The room is hung with lights and ornaments, there is an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe as you come in, and the bill arrives on a small wooden tray with a standing Guadalupe figure. The name means “miracles,” and the place runs with it.
What to Order at Milagros
The Gran Tacada, a build-your-own taco platter meant for a table, is the house best-seller. The totopos are made in-house from corn and are what the kitchen is proudest of — order them with the salsa taquera. Margaritas are the other draw, made with natural fruit pulp and served in hand-painted glasses. Among the tacos, the Tikal (chicken al pastor, cheese, pineapple) and the De La Cruz (coconut-and-tomato shrimp). Finish with the Carmelo: fried ice cream, chocolate sauce and peaches in syrup. Worth setting expectations — this is Mexican food cooked in Antioquia rather than a strict recreation. Diners who know Mexico well tend to praise the soft tortillas, guacamole and shredded meats, and to be less convinced by the hard tortillas and the salsas.
Tips for Your Visit
Milagros is on Av. 74B in Laureles. Cards are accepted, and it runs later than the chain’s mall branches — 9:45 PM midweek, 10:45 PM Friday and Saturday. Reservations by WhatsApp. Reckon on around $38,500 COP a head; it is priced above most Mexican places in the city. Two in-house rituals are worth knowing about: the Muro de los Milagros, a wall where diners write a wish or a thanks and leave it, and Noche de Luz, an evening where guests light a candle and pin their wish to it.

Plan Your Visit to Medellín
Medellín is the capital of Antioquia and one of Colombia’s most-visited cities — known for its year-round spring weather (the "City of Eternal Spring"), modern Metro system, and walkable neighborhoods. El Poblado and Laureles are especially popular for restaurants, nightlife, and cafés. Pair restaurant visits with a Comuna 13 graffiti tour, a Guatapé day trip, or a coffee farm visit.
Getting Around Medellín
Medellín has the easiest public transit in Colombia — the Metro covers most tourist areas, and Metrocable cars reach the hilltop neighborhoods. Uber and inDriver are widely used and considered safe. For day trips beyond the city, book a guided tour or hire a private driver. Walking between restaurants in the main tourist neighbourhoods is generally safe day and night.
