For the classic Medellín view, head up Cerro Nutibara to Pueblito Paisa — a charming little replica of a traditional Antioquian village, complete with a church, a fountain and a barber shop, ringed by a balcony over the whole valley. Pure paisa nostalgia.

What to expect
Cobbled lanes, white-washed houses with painted doors, craft stalls and típico food — and a 360° mirador over the city that is unbeatable at golden hour. There is a small museum on the city’s history too.
Visiting Pueblito Paisa
Pueblito Paisa was built in 1978 as a faithful little replica of a traditional Antioquian town, and it crowns Cerro Nutibara, one of the green hills that rise out of the centre of Medellín. The cobbled square, white-washed houses, small church and old-style barber shop recreate the feel of a paisa village from a century ago.
Beyond the village itself, the hilltop wraps around with a 360-degree balcony over the valley — the reason Pueblito Paisa is such a popular viewpoint — and there is a small museum on the city’s history plus a sculpture park along the slopes. Entry to the village is free, and you only pay for food, drinks or crafts.
The walk up is steep, so many visitors take a short taxi to the top, and late afternoon is the best time to arrive for sunset over the city.
A few quick tips. First, go late in the day, because sunset is the highlight. Then, take a taxi up. Also, bring some cash. Meanwhile, enjoy the 360-degree views. Finally, visit midweek to avoid crowds.
Getting there & tips
It is a short taxi up the hill (the walk is steep). Go late afternoon to catch the sunset, and pair it with the city’s other best miradores.
