A week in Medellín lets you go beyond the must-sees and into the wider Antioquia region — overnight in the colonial town of Jardín, paraglide over the valley, and eat your way through every neighborhood. Days 1–3 follow the classic itinerary; Days 4–7 add coffee, adventure, and the best small town in Colombia.
Days 1–3 — The Classics
Day 1 settle in and Provenza. Day 2 Comuna 13 + Plaza Botero. Day 3 Guatapé day trip. See our 3-day itinerary for details.

Day 4 — Coffee Farm Half-Day
Half-day at a working finca. Afternoon free for shopping at El Tesoro mall, a visit to El Castillo gardens, or a Metrocable ride up to Parque Arví.
Day 5 — Adventure Day
Tandem paragliding off San Felix mountain ($50–100 USD depending on flight length) gives 10–25 minutes of soaring over the valley. Afternoon hike up Cerro de las Tres Cruces for a free 1-hour climb with a 360° city view, or rest and book a tasting menu dinner.

Days 6–7 — Jardín Overnight
Drive 3 hours south to Jardín — considered Antioquia’s most beautiful colonial town. Cobblestone streets, a cathedral that fills the main plaza, and working coffee farms in the hills. Stay overnight at one of the small posadas, drink coffee at sidewalk cafes, and watch the town wake up. Drive back Day 7 afternoon for a final dinner in Medellín.

Planning around 7 Days in Medellín? A few quick tips help. First, decide what matters most to you. Then, map your route, because the city is spread out. Also, lean on the Metro to save time. Meanwhile, keep some cash handy. Finally, book popular spots ahead, especially at weekends.
To make the most of it, think in themes. For example, mix city days with day trips. In addition, leave a buffer for rest. Moreover, book key tours early. Meanwhile, keep evenings flexible. Consequently, you avoid burnout. Overall, a loose plan beats a rigid one.
As a rule, mornings suit sightseeing, whereas evenings suit food and nightlife. Therefore, pace yourself through the week. Likewise, build in a slower day midway. Finally, save one day for whatever you have loved most.
In short, plan loosely. Above all, enjoy the week. Either way, Medellín rewards a relaxed pace.
