Hotel Balcones del Estadio is an independent, family-run budget hotel on Carrera 68 in Laureles-Estadio, and it has been going more than 25 years — long before Laureles became a destination. It is also distributed on booking sites under the franchise name Ayenda 1226, which is why third-party descriptions of it disagree with each other so badly.
Rooms run from single through twin, double, triple, quadruple and quintuple — genuinely useful if you are travelling as a group, which most budget hotels here cannot handle. Doubles are exterior-facing with a balcony; on the larger rooms an exterior view is on request rather than guaranteed. Every room has a private bathroom with hot water, cable TV, wifi, a wardrobe and a fan. Be clear on what that means: rooms have a fan, not air conditioning. There is no pool, no lift, no restaurant and no bar, and the hotel’s own site does not list breakfast. Reception is staffed 24 hours.
It sits on Cra. 68 near Calle 49A, between Suramericana and Estadio stations on Metro Line B — the hotel names no station itself and third-party walking distances disagree, so allow 10–15 minutes either way. A warning about the listings rather than the hotel: several large booking sites advertise this property with “heated floors,” “first-run movies” and “American breakfast daily.” The hotel’s own room specification contradicts all of it. Trust the hotel, not the aggregators.
