The drive down through pine forests takes 30 minutes off-peak, 50+ minutes during rush hour. There’s also a small in-town airport (Olaya Herrera, EOH) for short regional flights, but international and most domestic flights use JMC.
Uber and inDriver — The Easiest Option
Both apps work normally in Medellín and at JMC. A standard Uber from JMC to El Poblado or Laureles runs $20–25 USD (around 80,000–100,000 COP). Drivers usually meet at the designated rideshare pickup zone outside the arrivals hall. The app handles payment, so you don’t need cash or to negotiate. Official Yellow Taxi
